Author INTERVIEW REQUESTS
➤ Find out more about the Dear Fantasy Author interview series here.
-
Absolutely! We moderate Q&As, host panels, and lead live author interviews.
We’re currently available for in-person events in:Orlando, FL & surrounding area
Denver, CO & surrounding area
San Francisco, CA & Northern Bay Area
We’re open to traveling for select events outside these areas—and are open to other locations depending on the event.
-
We love featuring authors whose books align with our fantasy, romantasy, or romance focus. That said, author interviews are not our main episode focus, so we’re only able to schedule a limited number each season.
If we’re not able to feature your book right away, we may keep it in mind for a future bonus episode or book club feature.

We typically structure interviews with:
A spoiler-free section to introduce your book and its world
A spoiler-filled section for deeper discussion, twists, and character arcs
Optional bonus segments like:
Are You Smarter Than a Fangirl? — trivia about your own book, where you go head-to-head with one of us
The Reader’s Letter — a closing thank-you from our team, highlighting what your story meant to us
We aim to make every interview feel thoughtful, fangirly, and fun—while giving your book the love it deserves.
-
We typically record interviews 2–6 weeks before the episode airs, depending on our production calendar. Most recordings take place on weekends between 11 AM and 3 PM EST, but we’ll always try to accommodate your schedule when possible.
If you’re hoping to time an episode around a specific date or release window, just include that in your message!
-
Yes! We love helping authors make big bookish moments extra special. If you’re planning to reveal something like a cover, title, or release date, let us know. We’re happy to time the interview or episode to support the announcement when possible.
Just be sure to include those details in your message so we can coordinate.
-
Yes! We often schedule interviews to support upcoming releases. We love receiving ARCs so we can read the book, ask meaningful spoiler questions, and release the episode shortly after launch using our spoiler-free and spoiler-filled format.
If you're hoping to time an interview with your release, please include that in your message. We do our best to accommodate but often need advance notice due to a packed production calendar.
The more time we have with the ARC — and the more advance notice we have that we’ll be receiving one — the more likely it is that we’ll be able to fit the interview into our schedule. Early access helps us plan our production timeline, prep thoughtful questions, and give your book the spotlight it deserves!
-
We’re truly grateful for every author and publicist who takes the time to reach out! Due to the volume of inquiries, we may not be able to respond to each request, but if your book feels like a good fit for our audience and schedule, we’ll reach out!
-
All interviews are recorded remotely using Riverside.fm. A clear mic and quiet space are appreciated, but if you're new to remote recording, we’re happy to help you optimize the setup.
We also send over a full Author Interview Guide ahead of time, which includes tech recommendations, what to expect, our interview format, and answers to frequently asked questions—so you’ll feel totally prepped before we hit record.
