Whether you're here for a deep dive into Fourth Wing, fangirling over authors and their stories, or exploring the many moving pieces that bring books to life, this is a space to go beyond the page (and definitely the opportunity to read one more chapter).
As the podcast grows alongside Hannah’s own journey into the industry and as a writer, Dear Fantasy Reader invites you in to explore, question, and experience the world beyond the page—while answering the bookish questions you didn’t even know you had!
HOW DEAR FANTASY READER CAME TO LIFE:
FROM PAGE TO POD (& BACK TO PAGE)
Dear Fantasy Reader launched in July 2024 after a brutal book hangover from Iron Flame left Hannah spiraling with theories and no one to share them with.
What started as a personal outlet with best friend, Karen, quickly found its people—fellow romantasy readers who were just as eager to scream, process, and deep dive into the stories they couldn’t stop thinking about!
As the podcast grew, so did Hannah’s perspective. What began as reader-driven deep dives expanded into conversations with authors, and continues to evolve into something even bigger.
Now, as Hannah works on her own debut romantic fantasy novel, the show is entering a new chapter—shaped not only by a love of reading, but by a growing understanding of the writing and publishing process. Upcoming seasons will expand into conversations across the wider book community, featuring authors, creators, and industry professionals, with guest hosts joining along the way to bring new perspectives into each discussion.

Hannah
HOST
Founder and host of Dear Fantasy Reader; our fearless fangirl-in-chief. Hannah always loved reading, but Fourth Wing reignited her obsession and sent her spiraling straight back to her Twilight-devouring middle school days (yes, she really read Breaking Dawn over 30 times).
Before joining the online book space, Hannah became a Swiftie content creator best known for being one of the first to recreate Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Lover bodysuit by hand—her tutorials went viral, launching her into the creator world (and into the Eras Tour Docuseries!).
Paired with a Master’s in Sociology & Criminology, Hannah brings a blend of creative flair and analytical insight. She’s the behind-the-scenes force keeping everything on track, known for catching every easter egg with Swift-trained precision, all while bringing unmatched fangirl energy and hype.
She loves forbidden romance, found family, magical abilities (especially when used romantically), political intrigue, socio-political commentary, royal courts, devotional MMCs, & fated mates!
Her love for the genre has grown beyond the page. Now working as a personal assistant to authors in the fantasy space, Bree Grenwich & Parker Lennox, Hannah has stepped into the world behind the stories—getting firsthand insight into the creative and publishing process.
As she writes her own debut romantic fantasy novel, Dear Fantasy Reader has evolved alongside her—becoming a space where listeners can not only celebrate the stories they love, but explore the world that creates them and brings them into our hands. Through conversations, deep dives, and guest voices from across the book community, Hannah brings listeners along for the journey and will be joined at times by guest hosts!

Our book guide queen is based near the California coast and is almost always found with a book in hand. She has a particular love for fantasy, romance, and historical fiction.
For Kaity, reading is more than just an escape—it’s an invitation to connect and build meaningful, lasting friendships through shared stories and theory spirals (which we partake in frequently!).
She’s the kind of person who turns reading into an experience—one you don’t have to go through alone. She makes sure no detail is overlooked and no one is ever left out, with a kindness and care for others that radiates in everything she does.
Kaity is known for her thoughtful annotations and book guides, her love of puzzles, and her instinct to dig deeper into every detail of a story.
When she’s not reading, you’ll likely find her tending to her rose garden, heading to a Pilates class, or planning an over-the-top dinner party.
“The Dear Fantasy Reader podcast originally became my cure for an Empyrean Series-sized book hangover. It gave me a way to stay in a world I wasn’t quite ready to leave. What started as a few follow-up questions related to Onyx Storm, quickly turned into close friendships forged over a shared love of books.
Before long, I found myself diving into creative work for the pod, looking to spread some more fan girl magic. What began as a small contribution has now grown into a full-fledged passion project!”

Our sounding board and international team member (UK), dog mom to three rescues, and lover of books and the beach; Mary is an insightful, creative, and deeply passionate reader!
She’s the kind of friend you can call at 3am and know she’ll be there—no matter what it’s about. Whether it’s for the podcast or everyday life, Mary is a steady, grounding presence: the best listener, the one who asks the right questions, and the one who always offers thoughtful, well-balanced advice.
She has a strong love for the fantasy genre, is a full-fledged Swiftie, and brings a reflective, feminist lens to the stories she reads. Mary also has a knack for unpacking complex themes, consistently encouraging deeper conversations and pushing us to evaluate an author’s work from every angle.
Mary is especially drawn to books with powerful female characters, themes of challenging the patriarchy, and the kind of layered storytelling that invites theories, easter eggs, and deeper analysis. She also loves diving into author interviews to better understand the inspiration behind the stories she loves.
